From the time I learned to walk, my granny has been teaching me to garden, as an older teen I started gardening on my own, in pots mainly. I grew dwarf sunflowers and my own vegetables. Now, that my grandparents are in their 80’s, they have a much more relaxed approach to their garden, pottering around when the sun is out. This means that keeping their beautiful garden looking vibrant is my job, and I love it! I am very lucky to have such an amazing garden to look after, a rarity so close to London. At 27 I have the greenest thumb of anyone I know from my peer group. I make sure to spend time in the back garden every day, and also have more than a few house plants to care for.
