Depop is an app where you can sell or buy clothes online. Generally, people sell second-hand clothes, and it has become a favorite for the sustainably conscious and bargain hunters among us.

I have now been selling on the app for two months, overall I like using it, and will continue to use it.

My favorite thing about Depop

They don’t charge you to list an item for sale, they take 10% of your sale price. This is ideal because if you don’t sell anything, you don’t pay anything. This is much better than sites like ETSY, which charge you an upfront fee.

How easy it is to sell on Depop?

It is easy! You take 4 photos of your item, write a description, and select some options from drop-down boxes, i.e. category, subcategory, size, price, etc. You then simply hit ‘post listing’ and the item is available to buy!

Depop also gives you advice on how to take photos for the best results! For example, flat lay photographs sell 60% more than clothes photographed on hangers!

How does postage work?
