I have been incredibly excited to see the newest addition to the Hunger Games world since it was first announced, I even made sure to listen to all of the books on Audible in the run-up to the film’s release date.

After listening to The Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes I (overall), loved returning to the world, and having an insight into Snow as a character, as well as having a greater insight into the peacekeepers, and the capital. However, there were also a lot of things that I would have changed. Going into the film, I hoped that the film would address some of these issues.

Coming out of the film I felt completely elated. I adored so much about it. I needed to get these thoughts and feelings out, so this is my Book-film review.

Things I loved about the film.

  • It is almost identical to the book and is one of the best book-film adaptions I have seen.
  • It is visually stunning- the colours and the filming quality are A*
  • The casting of Snow is incredible, Tom Blyth made a perfect Snow, and I would like to see him on the big screen in the future.
  • Rachel Zegler has an incredible voice, and she does an incredible job…
